According to the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment Law of the People's Republic of China and the Public Participation Measures for Environmental Impact Assessment, the basic information and environmental impact assessment price of the 200000 ton/year expansion project of Shandong Kailong Chemical Technology Development Co., Ltd. for CO2 recovery and production of sodium bicarbonate from tail gas are hereby disclosed as follows:
1. Basic information of construction projects
Project Name: Expansion Project of 200000 tons/year Production of Sodium Bicarbonate through CO2 Recovery from Tail Gas
Project nature: Expansion
Construction location: In Lingang Industrial Park, Binhai Economic Development Zone, Weifang City, north of Yihe Street and south of Lingang Road, within the existing factory area of Shandong Kailong Chemical Technology Development Co., Ltd.
Construction content: This project relies on the original sodium bicarbonate workshop building and public system, adding 27 sets of equipment such as blowers, CO2 absorption towers, alkali drums, centrifuges, and drying systems, and expanding the production of 200000 tons/year of sodium bicarbonate.
Current engineering and environmental protection situation: There are 200000 t/a sodium metabisulfite, 50000 t/a anhydrous sodium sulfite, and 10000 t/a bromide projects, as well as tail gas CO2 recovery and production of baking soda projects.
On March 10, 2008, the Weifang Environmental Protection Bureau approved the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the 200000 t/a Sodium Pyrosulfate, 50000 t/a Anhydrous Sodium Sulfate, and 10000 t/a Bromide Projects of Shandong Kailong Chemical Technology Development Co., Ltd. with the document Weihuan Shen Zi [2008] No. 38. The report was accepted on December 5, 2009 (Weihuan Yan [2009] No. 63).
The Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the CO2 Recovery and Production of Baking Soda Project of Shandong Kailong Chemical Industry and Technology Development Co., Ltd. was approved by the Binhai District Branch of Weifang Environmental Protection Bureau on May 3, 2017 with the approval number of Weibin Huanshen Zi [2017] No. 18. On May 8, 2018, the acceptance form for solid waste and noise pollution prevention and control was obtained from the Binhai District Branch of Weifang Environmental Protection Bureau with the approval numbers of Weibin Huanyan Gu 18010 and Weibin Huanyan Sheng 18010.
The existing projects have generally constructed corresponding environmental protection facilities and taken corresponding environmental protection measures in accordance with the environmental impact assessment documents and approval requirements, and all types of pollutants have been discharged up to standard.
